Fire & Rescue |

Richmond’s Fire & Rescue Department is an all-volunteer effort. Comprised of both fire and EMT personnel, they’re the first responders to accidents, illnesses, injuries, etc. Because of the equipment and skills our people have, they respond to emergencies throughout the area. If you are interested in learning more about the group, or would like to volunteer, please contact Fire Chief Bob Hugo (435-757-6577) or EMT President Nick Sanders (258-4502). |

Burn Permits: We are at that time of year again where people are starting to clean up yard debris and trimming trees. Please remember that if you do any burning you must first obtain a burn permit through our fire department. You can obtain burn permits Monday through Saturday anytime after 9 a.m. if the clearing index permits. There is no burning on Sundays due to a Cache County ordinance that all cities have adopted. Remember that when burning you cannot burn construction debris, tires, plastic shingles, insulation, etc. You are only allowed to burn wood products, cardboard, etc. If you do not have a burn permit and get caught you will be subject to a fine from the City as well as a citation from the Cache County Sheriff’s Department. There is no cost for a permit, just a simple phone call is required. Please call Fire Chief Bob Hugo at 435-757-6577 or Assistant Fire Chief Ben Lundgreen at 435-994-1526. If there is no answer, please leave a detailed message and we’ll return your call as quickly as we can. Thanks, and be safe! |

Richmond’s Fire Department is having a fund raiser on Saturday, July 12, at Big J's here in Richmond. We will be trying to raise money to upgrade our equipment and to earn funds to help build onto the existing station. We will be holding a "Pig Out" from 12:30 until 9:00 pm. The entire department will be there so that our fellow community neighbors can meet and chat with us. Please come out and support us. Remember, the equipment we need and use may save your property and even your life! |
